What's Included?

Site Preparation:
We spray a weed killer over all crab grass and kill all unwanted plants. Many unwanted invasive plants have root systems up to 12'ft in the ground. It is simply impractical to completely remove them without the use of chemical weed killers. This ensures all invasive plants are killed at their root. This is an short effective solution to solving a long term problem. Eventually no weed killer will be needed to maintain the yard.
Demolition & Site Grading
10 Cubic Yard dumpster parked on site for debris and excess soil removal.
We grade existing soil and debris into decorative mounds that capture rain water and water plants. This also saves on hauling cost.

Automated Drip Irrigation System
One Valve irrigation system with Timer, Pressure Regulator, Filter, and drip irrigation to all plants included. Drip irrigation system warrantied for 6 months after installation, and if under CGC Site management, plants and irrigation are warrantied for life.
Plants & Fertilizer
We shoot for approx. 3 plants per 100 square feet (10'x10' area). We install plants with starter food, but all our plants have been selected to not require the use of fertilizer to keep looking good. On average, our yards come with.
2 Trees (5-6'ft in ground height upon planting)
25-50 Plants (Shrubs, Agaves, Ground Covers, etc) depending on square footage (we shoot for 3 plants per 100 square feet (10' x 10' area)
Landscape Fabric
We install heavy duty permeable landscape fabric to keep weeds down and the drip irrigation system from popping up and becoming unsightly.
Ground Covers
We install based on design. But we recommend a mix of Decomposed Granite, Rocks, and Dyed Mulch

Site Preparation
Spraying Glyposate, Calling DIG Alert, and getting all lines marked out.

This involves two key steps that not must be skipped. The first, calling 811 (Dig Alert) and having this service come out to property and mark all the city utility lines. This ensures we are able to avoid damaging any crucial pipes during the installation process.

The second step is spraying the yard with effective glyphosate (weed killer) to ensure all invasive plant species are killed to the roots before the installation of your garden. We are not fans of the consistent and regular use of weed killers, but it is far and away the most effective measure for eliminating invasive species that will destroy your garden if not taken care of before hand. In short, it is a necessary measure that will have far more beneficial consequences in the long term than bad. Unfortunately organic solutions are just not effective enough to completely eliminate many invasive species we have here in San Diego.

The strategic deployment of weed killers targets the root cause of invasive plant proliferation, disrupting their ability to regenerate and spread. By effectively eliminating these plants in a single application, the need for continuous monitoring and maintenance is minimized, freeing up resources for other conservation initiatives. Demolition & Site Grading

Our demolition team starts by scraping and removing crab grass, invasive species and unwanted shrubs from the yard. The next step is to haul away excess soil and debris. We scrape the edges of hardscape and sidewalk so there is a 1" lip, so the ground covers will not spill onto the sidewalk or walkways they are bordering. Any excess soil will be then used for making decorative mounds, to give the landscape and appealing look, give trees a place to grow, and keep rain water in the yard and percolating into the soil, improving its health.
